August 15, 2024
On the occasion of Pakistan's 77th Independence Day, we are excited to celebrate the 15th Anniversary of the National Academy of Young Scientists (NAYS), Pakistan. This milestone marks a decade and a half of dedication, growth, and remarkable achievements.
NAYS was established on August 14, 2009, with a mission to provide a platform for young scientists across various disciplines to contribute to the advancement of education, health, science, and technology in Pakistan. Our aim was to foster collaboration and innovation, helping to build a strong science culture that could position Pakistan competitively on the global stage. As the pioneering National Young Academy (NYA) in Asia, NAYS has set a benchmark and continues to lead by example.
Over these 15 years, NAYS has grown into one of the most influential networks for young scientists in Pakistan. We now have over 7,000 members on our mailing list, our Facebook page has garnered over 90,000 likes, and our group has around 60,000 active participants engaged in educational and scientific discussions.
Our organization has facilitated numerous national and international collaborations, organized a wide array of events, and celebrated significant milestones in education and health. In the past 4 years, we have successfully completed 7 international projects. These accomplishments are a testament to the unwavering commitment of our volunteer team, whose dedication has been crucial to our success.
In early 2024, we held elections for new office bearers, with 5 out of 6 positions filled by new members, bringing fresh energy and ideas to our leadership.
Looking ahead, NAYS is focused on furthering its impact. We plan to establish dedicated research labs by 2025 to enhance the bridge between academia and industry, and to provide cutting-edge skills and technologies to our members.
We invite you to join us in our continued journey to elevate Pakistan’s standing in the global scientific community. Together, we can achieve great things.
Long Live NAYS!
Long Live Pakistan!
